check to see if there is anything in the programs/startup folder, then get a good antivirus scan like symantec, or for a free version, check AVG. Microsoft also has a free online scanner, if you can get to their website.

  2. Jon says:

    download Malwarebytes’ Anti-Malware

then get this make sure there no other virus Nod32.com download online scanner

Type this on the internet as a search >>>> free removal instructions for Security System Malwarebytes anti-malware…….this is a free program and it will tell you how to get rid of the fake scan…

    If you’re using XP…

Click “Start->Click “Run”->Type in “msconfig”->Click “OK”->Change to “Selective Startup”->Uncheck “Load Startup Items”->Click “Apply”->Click “Ok”->Choose to “Restart”. This should start the system without the virus/malware loading. After this, run a virus scan. If the scan removes the virus, then go back to “msconfig” and change things back to “Normal Startup”.

    If you’re using Vista…

Click “Start->Type in “msconfig” in the search bar->Press Enter Key->Change to “Selective Startup”->Uncheck “Load Startup Items”->Click “Apply”->Click “Ok”->Choose to “Restart”. This should start the system without the virus/malware loading. After this, run a virus scan. If the scan removes the virus, then go back to “msconfig” and change things back to “Normal Startup”.
