Quantum computer security achievable?

I read somewhere that there’s a process of using quantum uncertainty to make computer codes unbreakable.

I guess as soon as one tries to “crack it” the information is “lost”

Has this been accomplished?

If so how?

This is true and has been accomplished experimentally. However, I should clarify the matter a bit: the main approach is not to store encoded information, but to transmit it between two parties. (We don’t know how to store any quantum information for times longer than a few seconds at all.)

There are even commercial systems implementing quantum key distribution by now.

You’ll find all the information you need, including an overview of the current experimental state, in a Wikipedia article:

    Regards ;-)
