What is the best anti-virus, anti-spyware, anti-malware, firewall, etc. combo?
Im planning on using avast, malware bytes, and zone alarm(?)

Avast is one of the top free virus protection programs. Anotherone to consider is AVG.
I don;t use zone alarm, but I have heard good things about it.
Be careful of using too many security programs because they can conflicting each other and cause your computer unstable. Each software will fight for dominance to scan at once. It also may slow down your PC greatly
Better to use 1 antivirus rather than FREE and many. Use kaspersky or NOD32 is highly recommended.

for a anti-virus try using avira or avast, both free, for a anti-malware program use malwarebytes anti-malware, free also, a very good program that is light on the pc as well.
The free versions of Malwarebytes’ Anti-Malware and SUPERAntiSpyware are very good for on-demand scans and removal.

In a nutshell: They produce SSL encryption certificates (the padlock icon in the bottom right of your browser) for online businesses for a cost. The more people that shop online the more business they will get. The safer you feel online the more business you will generate for them. The fact that it is all one program means you are less likely to get conflicts.
If you are happy to use zonealarm you should not have problems with COMODOs firewall. It is intrusive but there is no other way for a firewall to work. It’s as good as zonealarm.
I have used them for a number of years now and their program is as good as the paid apps.
If you are worried about a particular file use virustotal for a complete scan through a number of virus scanners.
Make your browsing safer with firefox, noscript, flashblock and web of trust. AdBlock is a nice extension also.
