What is the difference between Kaspersky® Internet security 2009 and Kaspersky® Anti-Virus 2009? Which one is better to have? Can you install both of them in same computer? Is there any better software to use?

Thank you

Generally, “Internet Security” means other things, like providing a firewall, etc., beyond just the anti-virus stuff.

The Anti-Virus only has the Anti-Virus and maybe and Anti-Spyware or something. The Internet security brings the whole load. Everything from Rootkit detection to Residential shield. Everything the Anti-Virus would have and a lot more to make your PC safer.

kaspersky internet security has a broader coverage,it’s better actually than the anti-virus.the last time i went to the store to inquire, kaspersky internet security costs more than the anti virus only.

Aha! Finally someone asks this! lol
I have both of them D:
They’re wonderful but the anti-virus has a back-up/recovery reboot and the Internet security has parental controls and more privacy settings than the anti-virus. I’d prefer the anti-virus unless you do a lot of banking. I’m also pretty sure that Kapersky is the best unless you pay $139 for basically the same thing. It works great for my computers. Also…I haven’t tried installing them both but because they both uninstall any present ones you have, I’m guessing you can’t. Hope this helped! Good luck!

KIS 2009 is a full security suite whereas KAV2009 is merely just what the name implies, an AV application. I recommend KIS 2009.
You can download a fully functional trial version from the Kaspersky web site and try it for 30 days.
I’ve been using KIS 2009 myself for over 6 months.

    1. Internet Security comes with anti-virus, firewall, parental control etc.
    2. anti-virus is just an anti-virus program.
    3. and by the way Kaspersky really sucks. i had it…. my comp got infected by viruses thrice…. better try out McAfee or AVG or Avira..seriously now i am using AVG no problems since 11 months i ve installed it and moreover its free

Kaspersky Internet security is an all in one security package that includes anti-virus, anti-spyware,firewall etc. Kaspersky anti virus is just that, its a stand alone anti virus. I would use kaspersky internet security simply because it includes all you need.

I originally had Kaspersky Anti-Virus 2009 but upgraded to Internet Security 2009. Internet Security contains all the things in Anti-virus: Anti-Malware(Files and Memory, Email and IM, Web Traffic), System Security(Proactive Defense), Online Security(Anti-Phishing). So Internet Security contains all of them and: System Security(Application Filtering, Firewall), Online Security(Network Attack Blocker, Anti-Dialler) and also includes Content Filtering(Anti-Spam, Banner Add Blocker, Parental Control). WHICH ONE IS BETTER TO USE? Obviously Internet Security is Better because it contains all programs in Anti-virus and more. CAN YOU INSTALL BOTH OF THEM ON THE SAME COMPUTER? No you can’t but their is no need to. IS THEIR ANY BETTER SOFTWARE TO USE? No, Kaspersky Internet Security is the best, voted #1 for a few years, NOD32 and Bit-Defender are very good also but nothing compares to Kaspersky.
FOR MORE INFORMATION GO TO: http://www.kasperskyanz.com.au/2009/ AND THEN CLICK INTERNET SECURITY AND THE COMPARE TO VIEW THE COMPARISONS.
    Hope i helped you.
