Whats the difference between Kaspersky Internet Security 2009 and Anti-Virus 2009?
My laptops playing up a bit. Slowing down and internet explorer is freezing up as well. Thinking about un-installing avast and using kaspersky trial version to see if anything odd turns up. But I can’t decide between the internet security and the anti-virus.

Trend Micro , has a free scan., called Housecall. Scan your computer and see what pops up, and remove it.

You can always download these free from the WEB.
I have both Spybot and AVG on my computer.
For $ the best price for your money in my opinion, stick with Kaspersky.
If all fails, the best thing to do is Reformat. But remember, you will loose everthing, so save your documents and music and pictures, etc.
All 3rd party software will have to be installed, all over again.
