Which is the best internet security package?

AVG, Kaspersky, Norton, McAfee, ESET, Trend Micro or PC Tools? the internet security total package only.

what are the pros and cons of each software? I want the best one that uses the least amount of computing resources.

    None of the above.

I have been using WebRoot anti-virus for years and it is absolutely fantastic. I’ve used just about every other anti-virus out there and none of them use as few resources or are as effective at catching/deleting malware.

Pick up a copy of WebRoot anti-virus with anti-spyware and it includes internet security, anti-virus and anti-spyware scans.

Edit: The cons of pretty much all those programs is they hassle you unrelentingly whether it be for “suspected” attacks or updates. WebRoot is a very quiet program yet it is extremely effective, in my experience. I haven’t had a virus since I began using it. It also has a “gamer mode” which disables some protection but makes it so the program will not interfere whatsoever with any game you may be playing.

I have SecureIT. It cost 10$ to first get it, and you may need further payments i’m not sure because I get it free because my mom works for a cable company.

I’ve been using Kaspersky for years and I’m happy. Right now I’m using Kaspersky Internet Security 2010.

Pros: Kaspersky protects very well but you must also play your part in protecting your computer by using common sense in where you go and what you’re downloading.

Cons: Kaspersky updates about every hour or two and sometimes the updates don’t download correctly but their fixed rather quickly.

Kaspersky forum if you have problems or questions.
